Glen Perkins is a husband, father, and 3x All Star closer for the Minnesota Twins. He married his college sweetheart- Alisha in 2005, and they were later blessed with two little miracles- Addie & Lyla. Together they have tried to navigate this exciting and sometimes difficult baseball life.

The race will benefit the Prairie Care Child & Family Fund (part of the Prairie Care Institute) which is working to transform psychiatric care through education, research, and training. Alisha has been very out spoken regarding her struggle with anxiety and the Perkins want to help bring mental health care into the 21st century and break the stigma surrounding these dieseases.

Teaming up with Twin Cities In Motion and the Minnesota Twins the Perkins were able to put on a great race where everyone crosses home plate and gets their medal from a Minnesota Twins Player.
